Pranayama (breath work) is a vital part of holistic health. Use these three breaths in your everyday life, as you see fit.
In the audio, we go over the following breathing practices:
- Conscious Breathing/Equal Breath: bringing awareness to our breathing and intentionally deepening, expanding, and slowing our breathing
- Alternate Nostril Breathing: a great practice to balance the left and right hemispheres of the brain, creating a sense of ease, flow, and connection to the self. Also good for anxiety, nervousness, or overthinking.
- Kapal Bhati (Breath of Fire): this practice clears out the old and brings in the new. It gives our digestive system an energetic boost, and is good for depression as it helps bring new energy/vigor into our system. This is a perfect practice for those who fall in the Kapha constitutions of the Ayurvedic Tridosha system. Do not perform if menstruating or pregnant.
Download the audio and use any of the practices whenever you need them! The audio was made to give you everything you need to practice each of these Pranayamas (Breathing Practices), as well has when to use them. Each practice is a medicine in itself, you don’t have to do them all each day (and in fact, I don’t recommend doing that). Get comfortable with each practice, use them, and let me know how you feel.
