There are so many fads, trends, diets, supplements, minerals, mushrooms, you name it that we are told we must have or do in order to live a holistically healthy life. And as some of these things aren’t bad for you, and are in fact great for your health, none of them are the “end all be all” of health. Because health isn’t in a pill or supplement, it is in a lifestyle, which needs to be cultivated consciously in order to start to become healthy for us.
The simplest, most effect way I’ve found to create and maintain balance in mind, body, and soul has been through Hatha Yoga. When you take the whole practice: philosophy, diet, asana, pranayama, meditation, and kriyas, and actually follow it in your daily life moment by moment, there is nothing but greater health to be gained from it.
It’s as if you start to age in reverse, becoming the best version of yourself through time, effort, and dedication to the practice. It’s an entire devotion to the higher good and energy of the world, which is no small feat, but it is the most fulfilling task you can have.
Sadly, most yoga classes in the USA are only focused on teaching one small part of the yoga system, which doesn’t create the impact that yoga can have. If you’ve ever felt the physical benefit of yoga, but want to dive deeper into the true holistic system that yoga actually is, check out my course Foundations of Hatha Yoga here. This is a do-at-your-own-pace course that teaches you all the key pillars of yoga, and how to use this ancient system to live you best, most holistically healthy life.
